Battery Backup and Storage
-
Whole Home
We offer whole-home battery storage solutions that can be tailored to your home’s size, energy needs, and budget. Whether you want a complete backup system or prefer to build capacity over time, we work with several proven, reliable brands that allow for easy expansion. Our systems include wall-mounted units, floor-mounted options, and portable configurations designed to fit cleanly into garages or utility spaces. If you’ve already done your own research, we’re happy to review your plan and help integrate the right battery storage solution into your existing electrical system.

Add on as you grow
Our systems are designed to grow with you over time. You may start with a generator for backup power, then add battery storage to capture energy for use during high utility peak hours. Solar can be integrated to charge your batteries and reduce reliance on the grid, or installed as a standalone system depending on your goals

Plan Ahead
Planning ahead for backup power, battery storage, and solar can save you a significant amount of money over time. When these systems are considered during the initial design or build phase, installations are cleaner, more efficient, and easier to expand later. Proper planning allows equipment placement, panel space, and conduit runs to be done once instead of reworked. The result is a streamlined system that looks better, performs better, and fits naturally into your overall home budget.

Solar with battery backup
Solar and battery backup can also be installed as a standalone system without tying into the utility grid. This setup allows your solar panels to charge batteries that power larger loads such as refrigerators, 240-volt vehicle chargers, dryers, and other high-demand circuits. By shifting these loads off the grid, you can significantly reduce your overall power bill. Because the system is not grid-tied, you avoid utility back-charge fees, interconnection costs, and ongoing monthly city fees.

How it works
Our systems give you the flexibility to choose how your power is used. You can allow the grid to charge your battery and then run your home from stored energy during peak utility hours to reduce high-cost usage. Or, your solar panels can charge the batteries directly, powering major loads like your EV charger, dryer, refrigerator, and other high-demand appliances without relying on the grid. We can also integrate the battery system through switchgear to support your home while keeping the energy you generate for your own use—when you want it, how you want it.

Missing a Generator
A complete whole-home system can operate entirely off-grid, but during periods of high energy use, battery capacity alone may not always keep up. By integrating a generator, the system can automatically start, recharge the batteries, and then shut back down once adequate capacity is restored. Solar power then continues charging the batteries throughout the day, minimizing generator run time. This approach reduces wear and tear on the generator while keeping your home powered and fully independent from the utility grid.
